FCL (Full Container Load) gives you an exclusive container, best for larger volumes. LCL (Less than Container Load) consolidates your cargo with others, so you pay only for the space you use, best for smaller shipments. WTL handles both into and out of the Port of Dakar.
Sailing time depends on origin: roughly 7-15 days from northern Europe, 25-35 days from Asia, and 20-30 days from North America to the Port of Dakar. Add origin handling and Dakar customs clearance (typically 1-3 working days).
Yes. A validated BESC (Bordereau Electronique de Suivi des Cargaisons, also called ECTN) is mandatory for all sea cargo to Senegal and must be validated before the vessel arrives at Dakar. WTL arranges BESC validation as part of its ocean freight service.
WTL handles carrier booking, container stuffing and consolidation, bill of lading issuance, BESC/ECTN validation, marine insurance, port handling at Dakar, and onward customs clearance and delivery, as a single service from origin port to your door.
